Not really. I have never seen and never wish to see that movie. It is in reference to the comic that it links to (http://xkcd.com/458/ if you have to have it here...). Hover over it to see what I'm talking about. It might make people see my blog for a little while, before everyone else starts doing it too. Although, when I searched for it, only one other person had done it too...it was only just barely posted though, so I'm sure that's the only reason it hasn't exploded yet.
So anyway...in my previous post, "today" obviously meant "in three weeks". Duh. How was that not obvious to you? ..................OK, I'm a bum. But I've been sick, so I actually have a good excuse for once. I'm still sick, but I'm just going to deal with it. What I can't make work better is being kicked off the comp. :( Dad wants to sleep, and since this keyboard is very clicky and pretty close to him, I have to leave. :( But I do have things to post, so I really should be posting soon! As in tomorrow! And I really mean that, even if it doesn't happen.....but it will!!! Really!!! Well, probably...

And the winner is...
So the poll ("What should my next poll be?") is done and the winner is "What is your favorite color of M&M's?"! I modified it a bit so you could choose more than one if you wanted tho. Sorry I've been so slow, since it actually closed the last day of May...oh well, I think today will make up for it.

Best. iPod Skin. Ever.
(This was intended to be posted a couple days ago, but various things have made me put it off)
On Saturday I went to cultural fair (Where a certain someone wore a kimono for her booth. :) ) While we were putting stuff away, I noticed someone's iPod sitting on a shelf next to us. It had the most awesome skin ever on it. Pictures follow:
(If you don't know the significance of these, shame on you. :P Go here now.)
If I had an iPod, I would most definitely have this skin. However...I can't find it anywhere. I've Googled all over, but I can't find it. Maybe I'd have to go to an Apple Store, or maybe it's a custom skin. I have no idea, but I can't find it. If I could find a skin like this for my DS.......*drools*
Since the back side is a little fuzzy, here's what it says:
STATION 1 - THE POD
SERIAL # 4-8-15-16-23-42
QUARANTINE
ORIENTATION - [The regular iPod navigation circle]
I have no idea whose this is, so I can't ask them...if anyone has any idea, please let me know ASAP!
EDIT: Apologies if you read it while a big chunk of the second paragraph was gone. It still isn't there, but a short version is. Blogger is really crappy at handling "<"s I've noticed. Darn crappy HTML...(I like HTML, don't get me wrong. I hate that the auto-HTML thing doesn't work.)
EDIT2: GAH! It's even worse than I thought! I have simply gotten rid of the part that wasn't working, since it won't let me do what I want. Grr.

BDay + Cycle
Happy Belated Birthday to me!!!
Yeah.
I have a cycle I follow all the time. It stinks, and it's why I prefer to work at school instead of home. First I start on my assignment. Then I get to a point where I need my book, I look around and it isn't within view nor reach. I get distracted by something on the computer. I do that for a little while, before remembering or seeing my assignment. So I stop the computer thing (don't finish it), and go to start my assignment. I realize I need my book to continue, so I look around and remember that my bag isn't within reach. Not wanting to get up, I noticed my unfinished whatever and start doing that. It just repeats and repeats...
I'm also victim to another cycle, which I wasn't planning on posting about, but my friend wrote a tweet (on Twitter) with a link to it right after I started writing this. Click the post name to see. The only difference is that I don't have the will to pull all-nighters any more...so I don't have much of a "reset"...
As what I'm sure is a result of these, I'm pretty bleh recently...unless it's with a friend (and some more than others), I don't feel like doing anything any more than I feel like sleeping...
Yeah.

Twitter...
So I decided to see what all this Twitter craze was about...doesn't seem much different from FB Status updates, but I can spread Twitter around more place, plus combine the two...so I'll try it out.
I've added the Twitter updates widget to the bottom, here and on ZӘӘ. I don't know if I'll keep it on, but it's here for now. So enjoy it if you like it. :P

Blast from the Past - Through the Fire and the Flames
(Posts starting with "Blast from the Past" are posts that I came up with at work near the beginning of my month and a half non-posting period. More will come once I find my sticky note.)
So now that Guitar Hero III has been out for a bit, everyone knows about DragonForce and Through the Fire and the Flames. It's one of the most well-known songs among gamers. Well, I feel proud to have been a fan long before GHIII. My friend showed me the music video for the song back when it came out, and I've been a fan ever since. I was thrilled to hear it'd be on GHIII, tho it's a weird change from being a fan of a only kind of known band to everyone knowing about them...loss of uniqueness...
It's OK though. I like getting to hear it all the time too. :)

Closure - PS
Alright, I though I should finally finish off that filler post...even though it doesn't apply anymore, and was needed then, not now, I hate leaving stuff unwritten. The thing I was talking about it the "PS type thing" was betrayal. I don't really remember what it was, though I'm sure I could remember if I wanted to, but I know the general subject/reason...and that's a horrible feeling...
It's in the past now tho, so I don't really feel like writing more about it. Sorry if I'm being anticlimactic. :P

Who are you?
OK...if you come by, please comment or something...there are at least three people that have read and none did more than vote...(which...if you look at the current standings...are you guys kidding me? Man...I decided to extend it just to make sure it didn't end like this...) So at least leave a comment on this one saying hi or something...
EDIT: OK, apparently someone voted either while I was writing that, or sometime shortly after...it used to be that everything but "other" had a single vote.

Iron Man
Hm, apparently the last post still went to Thursday...I guess the starting time is what matters, not the publishing time...? Hm...
Anyway, I went to Iron Man at midnight, and it is simply amazing. I can't think of any complaints, except maybe less of a certain scene or two at the beginning. The storyline was awesome, the action was well played out, and there was a great balance of action and plot development. And Stan's scene was awesome. :D I can't say too much more without going into spoilers, which I'd rather not do, so I'll just say I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Definitely the best superhero movie to come out in a long time. 4+ Stars!
Oh, and my friend bought me this awesome Iron Man shirt. He's blasting out of the ground. Very cool. :)

Rings
So this morning I had to get on the later bus (I try for the one a little after 7, but the one a little after 7:30 gets me to school on time too), so while I waited I went into the gas station to get out of the cold (it snowed again...sheesh...). I went over to scan chips and stuff, when suddenly I heard the "be-da-lee" of Sonic getting a coin. It came from over by the checkout counter, so I looked over to see if someone's phone was doing it, since I've seen someone have it as their "new text" sound, but no one pulled their phone out/had it out/was putting it away. I figured it must have been one of the people buying stuff, and they were being polite and not checking it while they were talking to the clerk. But then I heard it again. And again, and again. I couldn't see any source of it, unless there was some toy on the shelf by the counter or something, so I circled around to the other side. Everyone but me left, and the sound didn't go again, so I figured I just missed whoever was doing it. I looked at DVDs for a little while (nothing worthwhile), when there it was again! I looked back at the counter and it happened again. It had to be something behind the counter now, no way the customers at the counter just happened to have the same ringtone/toy, so I slowly walked across the store while watching what could be doing it. Then I saw it. The cashiers had some new touch screen cash registers, and every time they "confirmed" or anything, it would make the Sonic ring sound! I couldn't believe it - first that it would make noise at all, since that would pretty quickly become annoying to both the cashiers and the customers, and second that it would actually be the Sonic sound! I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but that's just funny.
That was everything I intended to post at first, but when I wrote "Rings" for the title, it first reminded me of 'Rings" the movie, and therefore "The Ring" and "The Ring Two" too, then of The Lord of the Rings, so I'll write about each as well.
The Ring is awesome. It's definitely one of my favorite horror/thriller/whatever you prefer to call it movies. Every time I think about it and go look at the cursed video and whatever else, I always get a little obsessed with it...it's definitely very cool and very creepy...I really want to see "Rings" though...I never really knew what it was until I read a synopsis a little while ago, which of course made me want to see it. The Ring Two definitely didn't measure up, but it was still pretty good.
I'm about...4? chapters into The Hobbit. In fact, that's what's keeping me from finishing The Hobbit the videogame...I want to read it in the book before I play it in the game...whatever that case, I need to watch the movies again, and I need to do it some time when I'm very awake and able to pay close attention...
Battle for Middle-Earth is an amazing game by the way. I need to get it from the library again, then the second one again too.
By the way, adding The Ring and LOTR stuff delayed me a day, sorry about that. I should be doing a couple more today though.

ZӘӘ Gaming
Alright, I made a new blog. It's called ZӘӘ Gaming. It's where I'll post an occasional update on any gaming accomplishments/progress I've made. I'll be working on getting that all set up today, so I doubt I'll get anything else up on this one. Click the title or the link on the sidebar to visit me there!

O
Well...I broke my O key this morning...which really stinks...
So I was thinking about what I could do, and I decided I have three options...
0ption 0ne:
Use zer0s f0r all my "0"s. This c0uld be p0ssible, since the zer0 key isn't that far 0ff fr0m the 0 key, but I w0uld m0st likely start getting it d0wn right bef0re I g0t it fixed, s0 I w0ld just mess myself up...
pti n tw :
Either replace them with spaces r simply leave ut all the " "s (f r this paragraph I'm using the spaces). This is definitely the least c mprehendable, plus the spellchecker is putting red lines all ver the place. I d n't actually have any m re t write, but I want t keep g ing s that I can write like this s me m re. :P I think I'm d ne n w th ugh.
Option three:
Just do the "O"s with the nub. Obviously this is the one I'm going to do, but this is definitely going to slow down my typing...programming too...dangit. Guess I'm visiting the IT room...

Slipping
Yeah, it's another "removed content" one...well, it had to do with something that really only one person truly understood/needed to see, and while I like how I wrote it, it probably shouldn't be kept up here. As always, I'll probably tell you more about it if you talk to me, but here where I have no idea who sees it (why won't you comment, people??), I'm not keeping it up.
Closure - Updates
Alright, apparently some of these posts need updates...I don't really remember any besides "respect" needing it, so we'll see as we go!
Let's start from the oldest...oh dreams...I wish I could remember more dreams...I've had a few more "vivid" [Whoa, my "V" key wasn't all the way on...] dreams, usually when I take a nap or wake up in the morning then go back to sleep, but I only remember one well enough to write about it. However, I will wait until I get to the other post where I wrote about dreams ("Various") to write about it, since the situation is more similar to that one.
Alright, the important one...Respect: The situation in that post left me not especially happy with my team leader. But as the quarter went on, she definitely earned my respect back. She was excellent at leading our group and she didn't do anything offending again. Before I wasn't sure if I could call her anything more than an "acquaintance," but now I can definitely call her a friend.
Hmm...Minesweeper...well, I still haven't beaten Expert...in fact, I'm now taking a short break to try a couple times more. :)
Grr...still couldn't do it, though this time I got down to 4 left. :/ Ah well, I'll keep trying and eventually I'll get it...
OK, now we're to the dream. I'm not going to write the actual dream, for reasons of my own, but I'll write the stuf before it and resulting from it. So, it was a Friday. I had unfortunately stayed up quite late the night before, so I was very tired and could barely comprehend what my Sets teacher was saying. So I laid my head on my arms and went to sleep. I had a dream which...while somewhat odd, made me realize even more than I had before that I needed to fix something. I...well, ultimately failed at fixing it, but I did try...:/ That dream was amazing though. It wasn't especially long, but it created the most feeling I've ever felt in or even about a dream...
I don't think I've had any more thoughts on laughter, though I have considered emotions and some of their effects (mainly the less obvious ones)...but that's a subject for another post, plus it isn't thought out enough to write about yet anyway. So that's it for this post! That's probably it for the day too, I need to do some homework...:/ Darn Algorithms....

Closure - Hilarity 1
I know, I know..."A new post!? AAAH! It's a sign of the Apocalypse!!!" Well, at least you can die reading my words. :D If that doesn't appeal to you, I suggest you do something else so you'll die happy. I don't want a "Caused an unhappy death" keeping me out of heaven. :P
So, let's wrap up that filler post, no? I still haven't remembered what "Hilarity 2" is, but I'll write number 1 anyway. By the way, these are things that I laugh about every time I think about them.
Imagine, if you will, a line of people, waiting to take pictures for Prom. In the middle or so there are a group of four, in a square. In front, on the left, is me. Next to me is my date, Allyson. Directly behind me is my best friend, TJ, with his date, Emily, beside him. There is a wall to Allyson and Emily's right, which has a light switch (flipped "on") a couple feet in front of us.
Seeing the light switch, I pointed it out to Allyson and said, "What do you think would happen if I turned that off?" She laughed and said, "Only you would think to do that." I replied, "Nah, I think TJ would do it..." Allyson turned around, looked at TJ, and said, "Yeah, I guess TJ would do it." TJ, who heard nothing before, as he was talking to Emily, gave a confused "Wha...?" I told him, "Yeah, you'll do it." He asked, "Wait, what am I going to do?" I said, "If I tell you, you won't do it," and Allyson said "But you'll do it." I told her, "We should turn back around so he can do it." She agreed and we did, leaving TJ confused, but he just said "OK, whatever..." and shrugged it off. Not more than a second later, he pointed at the lightswitch, leaned over to Emily, and said, "Hey, see that lightswitch?" Allyson and I cracked up but he still finished, "What do think it would do if I turned it off?" We spun back around, grinning and laughing and said "That was it!" :D
I'll post number 2 when I remember. It's archived in an IM history if nothing else, so I'll get it up eventually...

Filler
Ah, it's been a while...I do think of topics every once and a while, but I've never had time...I don't really have time now either, but I wanted to get something in...
I did remember a couple of the things from that "I don't remember" post..."Hilarity 1 & 2". I don't remember what number 2 was, but I know where to find it, and number 1 is a great story about my best friend...
I also need to do an "update" post, in which I post new things/more details about previous posts...because a couple, especially "Respect", need it...
But this is it for now - hopefully after this infernal day I'll have freedom again...maybe...:(
Oh, PS type thing: Also going to post about the change of perspective, now being on the receiving end of something negative, as opposed to either giving it or both giving and receiving it...

Laughter
Laughter is a funny thing...I don't even know where to start about it...it's natural, yet is one of the weirdest reactions ever. From a scientific view, there doesn't seem to be any point to it. What's the point of a reflex to burst out in violent sound? I can understand how the happiness is beneficial, but the actual laughter...it's strange.
There are so many variations on laughter...girls giggle, there are people that seem to explode when they laugh, people that don't make any noise as they laugh, snickers, people that sound like any variety of animals, etc. for a few hundred pages...it's something unique enough that you can identify people with it, even those with less-extreme laughs.
One last thing - I hate laugh tracks. Especially when they're poorly used or overly used. Even well placed ones tend to be annoying though. Bottom line is: Get your laughs by being funny, not by trying to pry it out of people with gimmicks.
Check out the Wikipedia article on laughter if you have time (The post name links to it). The stuff about animals is especially interesting.

All sorts of stuf for this post. Let's start off with the bulletin board.
I stayed quite late after school today, and eventually I had to go to the bathroom. I went in and started going, looked up, and saw a bulletin board mounted above the urinals! Obviously it was a "student services approved posts only" board, but wow, what a place...it does make sense, though. It's the place that will make it more read than and other board...I'll have to ask a girl if they've got anything like unto it in theirs.
Sidenote: When I started walking to the sink, my foot was sticking to the ground and making footprints of dirt. This was a result of mopstuf left on the floor. Either someone didn't dilute enough or they used something that was supposed to be rinsed and didn't rinse it...
Next topic is dreaming....I was in IM1 and really tired. I decided to check if Homestarrunner.com had any updates (not watch them though, of course, in the middle of class after all). Well, I got to the site and was watching the scrolling button go through the new stuf and fell asleep. I dreamed that moved my mouse up and clicked the button. I was woken up by me clicking, but I hadn't moved the mouse. I repeated this two or three times - falling asleep, dreaming I clicked something, but waking myself up by clicking and seeing I hadn't done anything but click in the same pointless spot as before...
Well, there was another topic, but it's been too long since I thought of it, so it's gone now...however, as a sneak peak for future posts, Hilarity 1 and 2 are now able to be posted (they were part of the topics I thought of before but couldn't remember now that I started using the blog), so they will be here soon...look forward to them!

Minesweeper
One of the hardest things to do is in one of the simplest games...I love Minesweeper and play it a ton, but it's so hard to beat it on advanced. I still haven't beaten it on my new lappy, despite playing it many times. I've only beaten it a few times, and the only record I know the location of is on my Mom's work computer. I may have beaten it on the old (Win95) computer I have in my room, but I'm not home right now so I can't check. Whatever the case, it's still amazing how hard that game gets...
Also, a gripe: Vista has ruined Minesweeper! For one....they got rid of the Smiley Face!!! That's horrible! Also...."replay last game"?? What the crap!? That should not be in Minesweeper! Sure, just play the same game a ton of times and you'll get a way small time...grah. Darn you, Vista...

Odd Situation of the Day
(Not a daily feature :P)
Today, my friend wanted to buy a coke. He went to the machine, put in his money, hit the button, and two Dr. Peppers came out. I've seen them give the wrong product, but never the wrong number too...

Blog Posts
Well, this last week I've been thinking up subjects I could blog about, but now I've forgotten them. Seems to be a staple of life, no? Well, expect more updates as soon as I remember them. There will probably some stuff besides those, but I'm not planning on them for a while.
Video Dream
Today I woke up with one of those "NO! I DON'T WANT TO END THAT DREAM!!!" feelings, but even more so than normal. When I woke up, the feeling was akin to playing the most incredible, perfectly made video game for 15 minutes, then being forced to go to dinner. In fact, I even had that thought "Blah, I'm not getting up, I'm going to keep playing" before I realized that the sensational feeling I'd had came from my unconscious. I don't even remember anything about it, except that it involved some sort of the perfect sandbox game, similar to Mass Effect but perfected to work on a real life scale. I was actually in it though, whether it was supposed to be virtual reality or just another life/dimension (I'm thinking the latter). Now that I write about it, I also remember that I knew everything. I knew exactly what every tiny action did, even though I wasn't there. If I told someone some information, I knew how it changed how they interacted with people or how it affected their emotions. If I fired a gun, I knew every person that heard it, where the bullet and case ended up, and what everyone's reactions were, whether to hearing the gun, discovering the bullet/case, or hearing about it second-hand (I doubt I used any guns though).
If anyone is doing work on extracting dreams to video games or maybe even to movies, let me know. I'll definitely help you out. :)
