Filler

Ah, it's been a while...I do think of topics every once and a while, but I've never had time...I don't really have time now either, but I wanted to get something in...

I did remember a couple of the things from that "I don't remember" post..."Hilarity 1 & 2". I don't remember what number 2 was, but I know where to find it, and number 1 is a great story about my best friend...

I also need to do an "update" post, in which I post new things/more details about previous posts...because a couple, especially "Respect", need it...

But this is it for now - hopefully after this infernal day I'll have freedom again...maybe...:(

Oh, PS type thing: Also going to post about the change of perspective, now being on the receiving end of something negative, as opposed to either giving it or both giving and receiving it...

Laughter

Laughter is a funny thing...I don't even know where to start about it...it's natural, yet is one of the weirdest reactions ever. From a scientific view, there doesn't seem to be any point to it. What's the point of a reflex to burst out in violent sound? I can understand how the happiness is beneficial, but the actual laughter...it's strange.

There are so many variations on laughter...girls giggle, there are people that seem to explode when they laugh, people that don't make any noise as they laugh, snickers, people that sound like any variety of animals, etc. for a few hundred pages...it's something unique enough that you can identify people with it, even those with less-extreme laughs.

One last thing - I hate laugh tracks. Especially when they're poorly used or overly used. Even well placed ones tend to be annoying though. Bottom line is: Get your laughs by being funny, not by trying to pry it out of people with gimmicks.

Check out the Wikipedia article on laughter if you have time (The post name links to it). The stuff about animals is especially interesting.

Various

All sorts of stuf for this post. Let's start off with the bulletin board.

I stayed quite late after school today, and eventually I had to go to the bathroom. I went in and started going, looked up, and saw a bulletin board mounted above the urinals! Obviously it was a "student services approved posts only" board, but wow, what a place...it does make sense, though. It's the place that will make it more read than and other board...I'll have to ask a girl if they've got anything like unto it in theirs.

Sidenote: When I started walking to the sink, my foot was sticking to the ground and making footprints of dirt. This was a result of mopstuf left on the floor. Either someone didn't dilute enough or they used something that was supposed to be rinsed and didn't rinse it...

Next topic is dreaming....I was in IM1 and really tired. I decided to check if Homestarrunner.com had any updates (not watch them though, of course, in the middle of class after all). Well, I got to the site and was watching the scrolling button go through the new stuf and fell asleep. I dreamed that moved my mouse up and clicked the button. I was woken up by me clicking, but I hadn't moved the mouse. I repeated this two or three times - falling asleep, dreaming I clicked something, but waking myself up by clicking and seeing I hadn't done anything but click in the same pointless spot as before...

Well, there was another topic, but it's been too long since I thought of it, so it's gone now...however, as a sneak peak for future posts, Hilarity 1 and 2 are now able to be posted (they were part of the topics I thought of before but couldn't remember now that I started using the blog), so they will be here soon...look forward to them!

Minesweeper

One of the hardest things to do is in one of the simplest games...I love Minesweeper and play it a ton, but it's so hard to beat it on advanced. I still haven't beaten it on my new lappy, despite playing it many times. I've only beaten it a few times, and the only record I know the location of is on my Mom's work computer. I may have beaten it on the old (Win95) computer I have in my room, but I'm not home right now so I can't check. Whatever the case, it's still amazing how hard that game gets...

Also, a gripe: Vista has ruined Minesweeper! For one....they got rid of the Smiley Face!!! That's horrible! Also...."replay last game"?? What the crap!? That should not be in Minesweeper! Sure, just play the same game a ton of times and you'll get a way small time...grah. Darn you, Vista...

Odd Situation of the Day

(Not a daily feature :P)

Today, my friend wanted to buy a coke. He went to the machine, put in his money, hit the button, and two Dr. Peppers came out. I've seen them give the wrong product, but never the wrong number too...

Blog Posts

Well, this last week I've been thinking up subjects I could blog about, but now I've forgotten them. Seems to be a staple of life, no? Well, expect more updates as soon as I remember them. There will probably some stuff besides those, but I'm not planning on them for a while.

Video Dream

Today I woke up with one of those "NO! I DON'T WANT TO END THAT DREAM!!!" feelings, but even more so than normal. When I woke up, the feeling was akin to playing the most incredible, perfectly made video game for 15 minutes, then being forced to go to dinner. In fact, I even had that thought "Blah, I'm not getting up, I'm going to keep playing" before I realized that the sensational feeling I'd had came from my unconscious. I don't even remember anything about it, except that it involved some sort of the perfect sandbox game, similar to Mass Effect but perfected to work on a real life scale. I was actually in it though, whether it was supposed to be virtual reality or just another life/dimension (I'm thinking the latter). Now that I write about it, I also remember that I knew everything. I knew exactly what every tiny action did, even though I wasn't there. If I told someone some information, I knew how it changed how they interacted with people or how it affected their emotions. If I fired a gun, I knew every person that heard it, where the bullet and case ended up, and what everyone's reactions were, whether to hearing the gun, discovering the bullet/case, or hearing about it second-hand (I doubt I used any guns though).

If anyone is doing work on extracting dreams to video games or maybe even to movies, let me know. I'll definitely help you out. :)
